Conflicts of interest
All financial and personal relationships to other authors or organizations that can improperly affect (bias) a submission's authors' work must be disclosed by the corresponding author on behalf of all authors. Employment, consulting work, stock ownership, honoraria, expert witness fees, patent applications and registrations, grants, and other financial support are a few examples of potential conflicts of interest. All writers, including those without conflicting interest to disclose, are expected to give the corresponding author the necessary information (which, where relevant, may specify they have nothing to declare). Then, during the Attach Files stage of the submission process, corresponding authors should utilize this tool to construct a shared statement that they may upload to the system.
